2027: APC Governors Unanimously Endorse Tinubu for Second Term
All 22 governors elected on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for 2027.
The endorsement was formally announced at the APC National Summit in Abuja on Thursday by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF).
“We, the APC governors, unanimously adopt President Tinubu as our sole candidate for the 2027 elections,” Uzodimma declared.
The motion was seconded by PGF Vice Chairman and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, and received a standing ovation from attendees, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and top party figures.
Themed Renewed Hope Agenda: The Journey So Far, the summit highlighted Tinubu’s achievements and outlined the administration’s roadmap for the future.
This follows a similar endorsement by the Northwest APC just days earlier, suggesting a growing consensus within the party behind Tinubu’s second-term bid.
