PSG Edge Out Arsenal to Reach Champions League Final — Set for Showdown with Inter Milan
Paris Saint-Germain clinched a 2-1 win over Arsenal at Parc des Princes to book their spot in the Champions League final, thanks to goals from Fabian Ruiz and Achraf Hakimi. Despite an early Arsenal surge, PSG’s clinical edge sealed a 3-1 aggregate triumph.

aris Saint-Germain have advanced to the UEFA Champions League final after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Arsenal in the second leg of the semi-final, sealing a 3-1 win on aggregate. The win now sets them up for a historic final clash with Inter Milan in Munich on May 31.
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, Arsenal came out firing in the Parc des Princes, dominating the early stages. However, PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma made a series of crucial saves to deny the Gunners from leveling the tie.
The turning point came in the 27th minute when Fabian Ruiz unleashed a spectacular left-footed shot that beat David Raya and gave PSG a critical advantage. Despite Arsenal’s persistence, the night slipped further away after Vitinha missed a penalty in the 69th minute—though the decision to award the spot-kick was mired in controversy.
PSG quickly bounced back as Achraf Hakimi struck a beautiful goal to make it 2-0 on the night. Although Bukayo Saka pulled one back in the 76th minute, Arsenal couldn’t muster a comeback. Saka later missed a golden opportunity by blasting a chance over the bar.
Mikel Arteta, speaking after the match, was proud of his team’s effort, despite falling short:
“I don't think there's been a better team than Arsenal in the competition, but we are out. It’s about the boxes, and theirs were better.”
PSG, still chasing their first Champions League title, now turn their attention to Inter Milan, hoping to finally lift the elusive trophy on May 31.
