Paris Saint-Germain’s forward Ousmane Dembélé has been crowned the Ligue 1 Player of the Year at the 2025 UNFP Awards, capping off an extraordinary season that saw him lead PSG to a record-extending 13th French league title and a spot in the UEFA Champions League final.

The French winger dazzled fans and pundits alike, scoring 21 goals in Ligue 1 and netting a total of 33 goals across all competitions, including eight crucial goals in Europe. His blistering pace, creativity, and finishing proved vital to PSG’s dominance this season.

Dembélé succeeds Kylian Mbappé, who won the award five times consecutively before his move to Real Madrid.

Luis Enrique, Desire Doue, and Lucas Chevalier Also Honoured
Luis Enrique, PSG’s manager, was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Parisians to yet another domestic title and a shot at a historic treble.

Desire Doue was recognised as Best Young Player in Ligue 1, a nod to his breakout performances for Rennes.

Lucas Chevalier, Lille’s reliable shot-stopper, was awarded Best Goalkeeper, edging out PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma and preventing a full PSG sweep of the major awards.

Treble in Sight for PSG
With the Ligue 1 title secured, PSG are now two games away from a historic treble:

French Cup final vs. Reims – May 24

UEFA Champions League final vs. Inter Milan – May 31

Ousmane Dembélé’s individual brilliance has been key to this campaign, and he’s expected to play a pivotal role in both upcoming finals.
