The 17th edition of The Headies Awards lit up the city of Lagos on April 27, 2025, as Nigeria’s finest music talents gathered at the Landmark Events Centre for a night of celebration, tribute, and unmatched entertainment. Hosted by popular Nollywood star Nancy Isime, the event seamlessly blended glitz, glamour, and raw musical excellence.

Rema also had a defining night as his introspective album Heis claimed the Album of the Year, solidifying his position as one of Afrobeats’ leading forces. Another standout was Odumodublvck, who not only clinched the prestigious Next Rated award but also won Best Rap Single for his collaboration with Shallipopi on Cast.
As always, the event showcased some of the continent's most innovative sounds and visuals. From stunning live performances to deeply moving tributes, the Headies 2025 was more than an award show—it was a celebration of legacy, resilience, and the future of African music.
